Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 Phase 1 Day 4: Kano Pillars Beat Seasider Boys of Lagos

Three-time Ardova Handball Premier League champion Kano Pillars earned a convincing victory for the first time this season on Day 4 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 Phase 1, ongoing in Benin City, Edo State.

 

The Coach Solomon Yola side, which has thus far struggled in the league despite a Day 1 victory, secured a commanding 27-20 victory over Seasider Boys of Lagos, which could mark the beginning of the much-needed momentum they require in the league.

 

In other results in the Men's category, Tojemarine Academy seemed determined to make an impact in their quest for the title as they easily defeated Correction Boys 32-21, while De Defenders struggled to overcome Sunshine Kings with a 24-23 win.

 

Rima Strikers claimed a significant scalp as they shockingly defeated former champions Safety Shooters 27-24.

 

Discussing shocking results, Rivers Queens, buoyed by a huge comeback victory over Imo Grasshoppers on Day 3, secured their second consecutive win by defeating another top team and former champions, Plateau Peacocks, with a score of 24-22, while Delta Queens claimed a 26-21 victory over COAS Shooters.

 

Safety Babes remained unbeaten in the league following their well-earned 34-28 victory over Rima Queens, while Imo Grasshoppers rebounded from their shock defeat on Day 3 against Rivers Queens to decisively defeat Bendel Dynamos 33-17, and Defender Babes comfortably defeated Seasider Babes of Lagos 36-28.
