Juantorena ignites Modena's triumph as SuperLega powerhouses maintain dominance

Valsa Group Modena, led by the stellar performance of Osmany Juantorena, marked a triumphant return to victory in Italy's SuperLega Credem Banca. Breaking a two-game losing streak, they secured a 3-1 victory against Pallavolo Padova Padua, with Juantorena earning the Most Valuable Player award for his remarkable spiking at a 72% success rate and contributing three aces to his match-high 21 points.
 
 The team's outside hitters, Tommaso Rinaldi and Uladzislau Davyskiba, also played pivotal roles with three aces each. Anton Brehme, the German middle blocker, expressed satisfaction with the hard-fought victory and highlighted the team's strength at PalaPanini.
 
Defending champions Itas Trentino continued their dominance, claiming a fifth consecutive victory in the SuperLega season with a 3-1 win against Allianz Milan. Alessandro Michieletto led the scoring with 20 points, contributing two aces and a kill block. Trentino's winning streak positioned them at the top of the table with a 5-0 record. Sir Susa Vim Perugia secured a 3-1 away victory against Gioella Prisma Taranto, placing them second in the standings. Oleh Plotnytskyi and Kamil Semeniuk led the scoring with 17 and 14 points, respectively.
 
Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza climbed to third place in the standings with a 3-1 home victory over Cisterna Volley. The team had four players reach double digits, including Brazilian outsides Ricardo Lucarelli and Yoandy Leal, Italian opposite Fabrizio Gironi, and Cuban middle Robertlandy Simon. Cucine Lube Civitanova achieved the only straight-set victory in the fifth leg, defeating Farmitalia Catania 3-0. Turkish opposite Adis Lagumdzija led the scoring with 15 points, supported by Bulgarian outside Aleksandar Nikolov and French middle Barthelemy Chinenyeze.
 
The SuperLega Credem Banca continued to showcase intense competition, with top teams securing crucial victories as the season progresses.
