Jonas Vingegaard claimed the overall lead in the Tour of Poland by finishing second in the stage two time trial, a 15.4-kilometer race from Myslakowice to Karpacz. Belgian rider Tim Wellens clocked the fastest time of 23 minutes and 59 seconds to win the stage, with Vingegaard trailing by nine seconds.
Vingegaard, who finished second to Tadej Pogacar in the Tour de France last month, took the yellow jersey from Belgian rider Thibau Nys, who had secured the lead with a victory in the opening day's climb to Karpacz. The Dane now leads his teammate Wilco Kelderman by 24 seconds.
The race will continue on Wednesday with stage three, which features a challenging 156.5-kilometer route from Walbrzych to Duszniki-Zdroj.
