Jackson Page Makes History with Two 147 Breaks in Single Game

Posted : 16 April 2025

Jackson Page made history during the World Championship qualifiers as he became the first player ever to score two 147 breaks in a single game, a remarkable achievement in snooker. The 23-year-old Welsh player set up the first maximum break in Game 8 of his match against Alan Taylor.

He then sealed his victory in the 12th and final game with another 147 break, winning the match with a 2-10 scoreline.

Achieving a 147 break in snooker is the pinnacle of the sport, requiring the player to pot all 15 red balls, followed by a black ball after each red, and then pot all the colored balls in order.

This feat has been completed only 216 times since the first break was recorded in 1982, with Ronnie O'Sullivan holding the record for most 147 breaks, having achieved it 15 times throughout his career.

Page’s groundbreaking achievement has earned him a special bonus of £147,000, an award given to players who score two maximum breaks during a Triple Crown tournament, which includes the World Championship, the Masters, and the UK Championship.

His victory also brings him one step closer to qualifying for a third career appearance in the main draw of the World Championship.

This milestone not only highlights Page's exceptional skill but also places him among snooker's elite, making him a player to watch in the future.
