‘I wish I had more rest after Masters win, but I've reset my goals after successes’ - Jon Rahm
Posted : 27 April 2023
After having a tremendous start to the season, world No. 1 Jon Rahm is eager to pursue the new targets he has been obliged to set for himself.
Rahm's victory at Augusta National came nearly two years after he won the US Open at Torrey Pines. It was the Ryder Cup star's second major championship and fourth win of 2023.
"I wish I could say one week off was enough," Rahm told a pre-tournament press conference at Vidanta Vallarta.
"It was a long Masters and then went right away to RBC (Heritage), so I wish I could have rested a little more, but it is the life we signed up for.
Despite having just had a week to enjoy his Masters victory, the 28-year-old has been placed as a short-priced favourite to retain his title at this week's Mexico Open due to his recent form.
