Russell Henley secured victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a decisive eagle on the 16th hole, sealing his win at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida. His final-round score of 2-under-par 70 brought his total to 11-under 277, marking his first PGA Tour win in over two years since the 2022 World Wide Technology Championship.
This triumph, his fifth on the Tour, also stands as his first victory in a signature event. Henley edged out Collin Morikawa by a single stroke, as the third-round leader finished with a 71 after a par on the final hole.
Henley’s breakthrough moment came when his eagle chip from just over 54 feet on the 16th green found the cup, shifting him from one shot behind to the lead. His round had started shakily, sitting 2-over through the first 10 holes, but he regained momentum with birdies on the 12th and 14th before delivering the decisive eagle.
Meanwhile, Morikawa, a two-time major champion whose last win came in October 2023, recorded three birdies and three bogeys in a steady but unspectacular round.
Elsewhere, Canada's Corey Conners secured third place at 9 under after carding a 71, while Michael Kim's 69 earned him fourth at 8 under. Keegan Bradley, who shot a course record front-nine 29, tied for fifth at 7 under alongside Austria’s Sepp Straka.
Shane Lowry, the tournament’s midway leader, finished seventh at 6 under after a final-round 70. Bradley’s early surge, which included an eagle at the fifth and three consecutive birdies, set a high bar, but the leaders still had much of their round to play before Henley ultimately emerged victorious.
