Gymnastics Star Jessica Gadirova's Olympic dreams in jeopardy after severe knee injury

Jessica Gadirova's participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is in doubt due to a significant setback. The 19-year-old gymnast revealed that she suffered a complete tear of her anterior cruciate knee ligament, a serious injury that is expected to keep her out of competition for an extended period. This unfortunate incident occurred during her warm-up for the individual all-around final at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp.
 
Gadirova, who had previously secured three gold medals at the European Gymnastics Championships earlier in the year, had to withdraw from the competition as a result of this injury. She took to Instagram to share the news, emphasizing that the recovery process would be a challenging and lengthy journey.
 
The injury is a significant blow to Gadirova's Olympic aspirations, as she faces a race against time to regain fitness for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
