Georgia Hall and Charley Hull's withdrawal from the LPGA lacks "decency" - Bronte Law

Posted : 03 May 2023
Georgia Hall and Charley Hull's tardy withdrawals from the International Crown competition, according to Bronte Law, lacked "decency."

Along with Law and Jodi Ewart Shadoff, they were slated to compete for England in the international team competition that gets underway on Thursday in San Francisco.

Hull claimed "stomach issues," while Hall withdrew owing to a foot ailment, it was revealed on Monday.

Law says she heard the news from other players on the Tour.

"I think anyone with some level of decency would send their team-mates a message that they weren't coming, not find out from other players on Tour who have heard things from them saying things at the tournament last week," said Law, 28.

"I don't think that that's a lot to ask for."

Law stated that Hull finally sent her an apologetic message on Tuesday.

"Yeah, obviously it's frustrating, especially to come so late," Ewart Shadoff continued. It must be disappointing, especially for Hanwha, the tournament sponsor.

"I think what they've done for the tournament and to bring it back, we're all just really grateful to be here."

Both Hull and Hall competed in the LA Championship over the weekend, with Hall placing tied 44th and Hull placing tied 17.
