Due to sickness and injuries, respectively, Georgia Hall and Charley Hull of England have withdrawn from the Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown competition.
Hull said she felt nauseous and had "stomach issue," while Hall has a foot ailment.
The 27-year-olds competed in the LA Championship over the weekend, with Hall placing tied for 44th and Hull placing tied for 17th.
Alice Hewson and Liz Young have also been chosen for the England squad for the two-year tournament, in addition to Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Bronte Law.
"I've been struggling with my foot for the past few weeks and in spite of daily physio treatment it's not improving, so I've been advised to take a week off," said world number 10 Hall. "I'm really sorry not to be able to play and wish my England team-mates the best of luck."
Hull, ranked 18th in the world, said: "I've been quite sick the past couple of weeks with stomach issues. I was hoping I could play through it but it seems not and I'm going to need to seek some help.
"I'm really sorry to let the tournament down and of course my team-mates."
The Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown competition, which will be held this year from May 4–7 in San Francisco, has a round-robin group stage where teams play before the top two from each group advance to the semifinals.
The United States, Sweden, and China are in Group A with England, the fifth-seeded team. South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Australia make up Group B.
