Frédéric Lacroix captured his first DP World Tour title with a flawless final round of 65, winning the Danish Golf Championship by four strokes. Lacroix, who started the day four shots behind the leader, quickly closed the gap with birdies on the first, fifth, and seventh holes. He then surged ahead with additional birdies on the 10th, 12th, and 15th holes, finishing at 14 under par to secure the victory.
The 29-year-old Frenchman, who graduated from the European Challenge Tour last year, has had a strong season with this win marking his fifth top-five finish. His countryman Romain Langasque and local favorite Lucas Bjerregaard tied for second place at 10 under, while last week's winner, David Ravetto, finished fourth at nine under.
Lacroix's final round was marked by consistent play, starting with an opening birdie and another on the fifth hole. He narrowly missed a hole-in-one on the seventh but tapped in for a birdie. On the back nine, Lacroix extended his lead with a birdie on the 10th and a close-range gain on the 12th, eventually sealing the win with a 15-foot birdie putt on the 15th and three consecutive pars to close his round.
Reflecting on his victory, Lacroix expressed his happiness with the bogey-free round and acknowledged the steady improvement in his game over the past few years. He also credited the inspiration he drew from his friend David Ravetto's win at the D+D REAL Czech Masters the previous week, which motivated him to believe that victory was within reach.
