Corey Conners will become one of the select Canadian professionals to compete in the Nedbank Golf Challenge, set to take place at Sun City from December 5-8, 2024. This prestigious event, known as ‘Africa’s Major,’ is part of the DP World Tour and honours golf legend Gary Player. With tickets now available and a new luxury public hospitality option introduced, the tournament promises an exciting experience for fans.
Conners has secured his spot in this event, which is a key fixture in the 2025 Race to Dubai and is supported by Nedbank and Sun International. He will join Mike Weir as one of the prominent Canadian golfers to have played in this renowned tournament at the Gary Player Country Club.
At 32 years old, Conners is a two-time PGA Tour champion, having won the Valero Texas Open in 2019 and 2023. Additionally, he is set to represent the International Team at this year's Presidents Cup, where he will compete under the leadership of fellow Canadian Mike Weir. His notable performance this year includes a tied ninth finish at the US Open and three top-10 finishes at The Masters.
The field for the Nedbank Golf Challenge is already strong, featuring defending champion Max Homa, South African Olympic golfers Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Erik van Rooyen, and Sunshine Tour Order of Merit winner Ryan van Velzen.
