Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand clinched victory alongside China's Yin Ruoning at the LPGA Great Lakes Bay Invitational with a clutch 10-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole, sealing their win by one stroke over Americans Jennifer Kupcho and Ally Ewing. The duo posted an impressive eight-under-par 62 in the final round at Michigan's Midland Country Club, finishing at 22-under 258 for the tournament.
Reflecting on their success, Yin highlighted the camaraderie and support between them, emphasizing how they kept each other focused throughout the tournament. Both players contributed significantly to their win, with Atthaya sinking crucial birdies, including three on pressure-packed par-3 holes during the final round.
For Atthaya, the victory marked her third career LPGA title, following her wins at the 2022 JTBC Classic and 2022 Northwest Arkansas Championship. Meanwhile, Yin celebrated her third LPGA triumph, adding to her victories at the 2023 LA Open and the 2023 Women's PGA Championship, which was her maiden major win.
