Ardova Handball Premier League 2023: Niger United, Safety Babes continue dominance

Niger United and Safety Babes continued their dominance of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2023 as they won their matches on day 2 of the phase 2 of the league in Lagos.
Niger United defeated De Defenders 34-28 to maintain their lead of the male category league while defending champion Kano Pillars still haven't won a match as they played out a 21-21 draw with Correction Boys.
Tojemarine Academy are second on the table after a comfortable 39-26 victory over Police Machine while Safety Shooters earned a 22-18 victory over Confluence Stars
Bendel Dynamos, who before now had only one victory in the Ardova Handball Premier League 2023 and were rock bottom on the league table, defeated Benue Buffaloes 29-22 to earn their second victory in 13 matches while Seasider Boys of Lagos are now in the third position after they defeated Rima Strikers of Sokoto 35-31.
In the women category, Safety Babes consolidated their lead on the women category league table as they comfortably won Benue Queens 32-21 while Rima Queens defeated Delta Queens 29-22.
Imo Grasshoppers seems to have had a renaissance as they comfortably defeated Bendel Dynamos 34-23 while former Plateau Peacocks earned a 20-13 victory over Seasider Babes of Lagos.
Bayelsa Queens are in the relegation zone as they lost to Defender Babes 29-25.
Aminu Mohammed of Correction Boys and Goalkeeper Toyin Yusuf Plateau Peacocks were voted MVPs of the men and women categories respectively for day 2.
