The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) will hold an Anti-Doping Seminar/Workshop for all participating teams in the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 phase 1, which is ongoing in Benin City, Edo State.
HFN Secretary General Almu Umar Lambu announced that the anti-doping seminar is scheduled to be held on Sunday from 10 a.m. at the indoor sports hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State, with all 23 teams in attendance.
"The Board of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) is inviting all participating teams in the ongoing Ardova Premier League to attend the Anti-Doping Seminar/Workshop."
"The purpose of the workshop is to ensure that the clubs in the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 are up-to-date with the latest anti-doping rules applicable to our sport and, by extension, our league. The facilitators are seasoned authorities on the subject."
Lambu, while expressing gratitude to the premier league sponsor Ardova PLC for supporting and financing the workshop, urged all heads of contingents of the teams to ensure compliance and attendance, as it is mandatory for the teams to be represented.
"On behalf of the board of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, I want to thank our premier league sponsor for sponsoring this anti-doping seminar, as they understand the need for transparency in sports."

The HFN stated that there would be sanctions for any participating team that fails to attend.
