The 28th edition of the Nigerian Army 2nd Division Open Golf Tournament is set to host no fewer than 200 golfers from Friday to Sunday in Ibadan, according to the President of the Local Organizing Committee, Brigadier General GC Nkenke, as stated in a press release on Monday in Ibadan.
Nkenke mentioned that over 200 golfers had already registered for the tournament, with 17 trophies up for grabs.
He added that the tournament is scheduled to take place at the Tiger Golf Club, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment in Ibadan.
"The distinguished guest of honor for the event is Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, and the event will kick off with a cocktail on Friday and conclude with a closing ceremony on Sunday," said the president of the local organizing committee.
The Tiger Open Golf Tournament is an annual event organized by the Nigerian Army 2nd Division Headquarters. It aims to promote interaction among golf enthusiasts in Nigeria and has experienced growth over the past 27 years.
