Formula 1 heads to Las Vegas this weekend for the highly anticipated second edition of its street race along the Strip. With 86 points still available over the remaining three races, Max Verstappen has the opportunity to secure his championship title by winning the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Even if he doesn’t take the top spot, he could clinch the crown by finishing ahead of Lando Norris or, in most scenarios, finishing directly behind him in the race.
Verstappen’s path to the title includes several scenarios, such as finishing ahead of Norris, or even finishing behind him with the fastest lap, depending on Norris’ final position. If Norris finishes in the lower points or fails to score, Verstappen will still be crowned champion. These outcomes make it highly likely for the Dutch driver to add another title to his collection this weekend.
Meanwhile, the constructors' championship is still up for grabs, with Ferrari mounting a strong challenge after recent upgrades improved the performance of their SF-24 car. McLaren currently leads Ferrari by 36 points, but Ferrari’s resurgence in recent races, highlighted by wins from Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, has brought the battle for second place in the standings back to life.
