British Olympians who have noticed their Paris 2024 medals losing their shine have received an unexpected offer from Vaughtons, a historic Birmingham-based company known for making Aston Martin's bonnet badges. Vaughtons, which has been crafting medals, badges, and civic regalia for over 200 years, has proposed a free refurbishment service to address concerns from athletes about the condition of their medals.
Vaughtons, renowned for its work with luxury car brands like Aston Martin, McLaren, and Bentley, has also supplied Royal Households worldwide. The company, which creates the iconic 'Wings' badges for Aston Martin, has expressed willingness to restore any tarnished medals from the Paris 2024 Olympics, as well as those from the upcoming Paralympic Games.
Nick Hobbis, managing director of Vaughtons, announced that the company is ready to offer its medal repair services at no cost to British Olympic medallists. This gesture aims to ensure that the medals awarded at the Paris Games maintain their prestigious appearance and honor the athletes' achievements.
