Posted : 27 October 2023
In a thrilling match-up at the OR Thailand Grand Prix, Pedro Acosta of Red Bull KTM Ajo stands on the brink of seizing the 2023 Moto2™ title. The Spaniard entered the weekend with unwavering determination, displaying his dominance in Friday morning's Practice 1 session, clocking an impressive 1:36.266.

Fermin Aldeguer, representing Beta Tools SpeedUp, also kicked off his weekend on a high note, carrying forward his strong performance from Phillip Island to secure the second position. Meanwhile, Dennis Foggia of Italtrans Racing Team made a remarkable late-session charge to claim the final spot on the podium.

Ai Ogura from IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia made a promising start to his weekend, landing in fourth place, while Tony Arbolino of Elf Marc VDS Racing Team completed the top five, with his sights set on preventing Acosta from clinching the championship.

Aron Canet, representing Pons Wegow Los40, began his Thai campaign in sixth place, closely pursued by the local hero Somkiat Chantra of IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia in seventh. Despite an early-session mishap, Jake Dixon of Inde GASGAS Aspar Team rebounded to secure eighth place. Manuel Gonzalez of Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team and Albert Arenas of Red Bull KTM Ajo rounded out the top ten.

The excitement in Moto2™ is far from over in Buriram, so stay tuned as the action unfolds, with Practice 2 scheduled at 14:05 local time (GMT +7).
