Lewis Hamilton aims for next season as Red Bull’s Max Verstappen dominate Spanish Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton was not under the impression that he was set to restart his battle with Max Verstappen even if Mercedes had their greatest race of the season with their freshly revised vehicle at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Verstappen finished second, and Hamilton and George Russell, a teammate, finished third. This was the first time this season that two Mercedes drivers stood on the podium at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
However, despite the fact that Russell had battled his way up from 12th on the grid and defeated Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez, who began one position ahead of him, there was no escaping the truth of the outcome.
With the exception of the wrecked Australian Grand Prix, Verstappen's lead over Hamilton at the finish line was 24 seconds, or almost the same advantage Red Bull has had in every race this season.
"They are so far ahead," Hamilton said, "and ultimately Max will continue to win this year."
