Las Vegas Grand Prix to Feature Ferrari Challenge Support Race

For the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix in November, organizers have responded to last year's criticism by introducing a Ferrari Challenge support race. This addition aims to enhance the event's appeal, which previously only featured Formula One action. The inclusion of the Ferrari Challenge is expected to address concerns about the limited track activity that was evident last year.

 

In addition to the support race, the Grand Prix will feature a unique attraction: a skating rink installed on the roof of the Paddock Club hospitality building. This addition is designed to offer more entertainment options for attendees, complementing the high-end experience already associated with the event. Organizers are aiming to create a more engaging atmosphere beyond the race itself.

 

Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer for F1 and the Las Vegas Grand Prix, acknowledged the feedback from last year's event. She noted that logistical challenges had prevented the inclusion of support races in the inaugural edition but expressed confidence that these issues have been resolved. Prazer emphasized that the addition of the Ferrari Challenge will not only provide more track action but also help with track preparation by laying down rubber before the F1 cars take to the track.

 

This year's Grand Prix will also feature a revamped ticketing strategy, with more accessible options compared to last year’s high-end focus. The event will include a Fan Experience zone with free daytime activities on Las Vegas Boulevard and general admission zones to cater to a wider audience. Prazer highlighted that the second edition of the event aims to strike a balance between excitement and sportsmanship while incorporating unique elements like the ice rink to enhance the overall visitor experience.
