Ferrari has confirmed its commitment to supply engines to the Haas Formula 1 team through at least the end of the 2028 season, as announced by the American team on Tuesday. This partnership has been in place since Haas entered the Grand Prix circuit in 2016, providing a solid foundation for their performance in the championship.
Ayao Komatsu, the Team Principal of Haas, expressed his enthusiasm for the extension, highlighting the importance of maintaining a stable relationship with Scuderia Ferrari. He noted that the team has exclusively utilized Ferrari power units, and this continuity is vital as they prepare for the upcoming changes in power unit regulations set to take effect in 2026.
As the 2023 season progresses, Haas currently sits seventh in the constructors' championship with a total of 27 points, ahead of the 13th round of races in Hungary this weekend. While Ferrari continues to supply engines to Haas, it also provides power units to Sauber, which is set to transition into an Audi works team starting in 2026.
