The 27-year-old Italian, replicating his impressive performance in Sepang, Malaysia, maintained his competitive edge in windy conditions, narrowly outpacing his Ducati teammate Enea Bastianini by 0.120 seconds. Bagnaia, utilizing the new engine on the Ducati to full advantage, demonstrated the bike's prowess as the testing session concluded.
Bagnaia's commanding display continued as he topped the timesheets, finishing 0.308 seconds ahead of Aleix Espargaro from Aprilia, who secured the third position.
Surprising many, former champion Marc Marquez, now with the Ducati-Gresini team, secured the fourth spot, trailing Bagnaia by 0.383 seconds. The pre-season tests have provided a glimpse into the competitive landscape of the upcoming MotoGP season, setting the stage for thrilling races.
