Fernando Alonso Aided Aston Martin Leap on to the Podium

According to team president Mike Krack, Fernando Alonso's role to Aston Martin's ascent to the podium in Formula 1 this season is "something we must not underestimate."
Alonso has won three podiums in as many races to lead Aston Martin, which placed seventh last year, to second place in the constructors' standings, just behind Red Bull.
Krack claims that the 41-year-old, two-time champion, has had a profound impact on a team that has also advanced significantly with their vehicle.
"From the first day, he brought a lot of extra energy, a lot of extra motivation to the team," Krack says, "just by the way he is and the way he is approaching it. He's very, very positive.
"If you lead by example, it's very simple to lead. If you say, 'The team has to push, but I am on the beach' it is much more difficult to get the team to push than if the driver is there as well.
The team's efforts to comprehend and start developing their car have benefited from Alonso's economy of words and clarity of expression, according to performance director Tom McCullough.
