Daniel Ricciardo dismissed speculations linking him to a potential move to Red Bull in 2025, emphasizing his focus on the present and taking one race at a time. Despite rumors suggesting he could replace Sergio Perez, Ricciardo's season with Red Bull's junior team RB, formerly known as AlphaTauri, has begun poorly, finishing 13th in Bahrain and 16th in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking in Melbourne, Ricciardo stated that he doesn't pay heed to such rumors and remains committed to performing to the best of his abilities. He underlined his objective of driving his current car as well as possible and suggested that whatever unfolds in the future will happen organically. Ricciardo clarified that he is not dwelling on the possibility of securing a Red Bull seat, choosing instead to focus on his immediate responsibilities.
After joining AlphaTauri midway through the previous season, Ricciardo, aged 34 and an eight-time grand prix winner, has kept himself involved in the Formula 1 scene as Red Bull's reserve driver following his departure from McLaren at the end of 2022. Amidst uncertainties surrounding his future, Ricciardo's priority remains making the most of his current opportunities rather than speculating about potential moves down the line.
