Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti addressed speculation about Kylian Mbappe's mental health, calling it "ugly" to speculate about such matters. The French superstar, who joined Madrid this summer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, has struggled with form, scoring only one goal in his last seven matches across all competitions. There have also been reports of a pay dispute with PSG and a possible involvement in a rape investigation in Sweden, although Mbappe has denied the allegations.
When asked whether Mbappe was struggling with pressure, Ancelotti dismissed the idea, stating that he did not believe the player had mental health issues. He described Mbappe as "happy" at the club, and emphasized that it was inappropriate to speculate about such personal matters. Ancelotti’s comments came after the forward was left out of France’s squad for two consecutive Nations League matches, with French coach Didier Deschamps suggesting it was in Mbappe's best interest.
Despite the recent challenges, Ancelotti expressed confidence that Mbappe would regain his form soon, particularly ahead of Real Madrid's upcoming match against Leganes. The coach acknowledged that even the best strikers experience difficult moments but maintained that Mbappe’s motivation and quality would lead to a turnaround in his performances. Ancelotti remains optimistic that Mbappe’s rough patch is temporary and that his exceptional abilities will soon shine through.
