The management of Plateau United has denied claims that it placed its players on half salaries due to poor performance.
The Peace Boys' management made the clarification on Monday.
"This serves as an official document debunking claims on social media and from unconfirmed sources that Plateau United FC 'Places Players on Half Salaries Following Poor Performance,'" the statement reads.
Plateau United General Manager, Habila Hosea Mutla, vehemently denied the claims that players had been placed on half salaries as suggested by unconfirmed sources.
According to Mutla, "We're aware that performance must improve and have laid down certain internal measures to enhance performance, not by slashing players' salaries."
He also mentioned that the club would seek the assistance of law enforcement to invite the sources of this divisive story for further questioning and verification.
Mutla emphasized that the story was completely false and did not reflect the current reality of the team.
