Zenith Bank Basketball League: Air Warriors target continental ticket, league title

The Defending champion of the Zenith Bank Women Basketball League, Air Warriors basketball club of Abuja, will begin their defense of the title as the Final 4 of the 2023 edition of the Zenith Bank Women Basketball League tips-off at the Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, South West, Nigeria.

The Coach Samson Sotiminu-tutored side has a date with MFM of Lagos.

The Club Chairman, Alhaji Solademi Abdulmajid, says they are in Lagos to fulfill two missions; to pick a continental ticket and also do everything possible to retain the league title it won in 2019.

“It’s a huge task that is before us, but our team is well motivated to go all out and achieve our goals which are the continental ticket and the defense of our title," says the club chairman.

Air Warriors secured their place in the Final 4 from the Savannah Conference play-off in Lafia.

Other games of the opening day of the Final 4 will see Customs taking on Bayelsa.
