He reassured the team of the state’s commitment, noting arrangements for their travel and accommodation at the well-known Ibis Hotel in Casablanca.

The chairman also acknowledged the players’ needs, including securing proper food provisions with assistance from the Nigerian embassy in Morocco, stating, "I don’t think feeding will be an issue."

Promising full support and financial rewards, the chairman expressed confidence in the team's ability to bring the trophy home. "We will return with the cup. I’m absolutely sure the cup is coming to Nigeria."

The head coach of Edo Queens, Moses Aduku, and Captain Efemweokiekie Osakpolor also expressed their gratitude, voicing their determination to make both the state and chairman proud.

"By the grace of God, we are going to make not just the state proud, but also make you proud as well," she stated confidently.

Comrade Kehinde Osagiede, the chairman of the Sports Writers Association (SWAN), Edo State, extended his appreciation to the Edo State government, including the executive governor in absentia, noting that the team’s achievements have already made history by winning the female league and now advancing to the West African qualifiers.

"Our wish is that this journey will go far and bring the Women’s Champions League to Nigeria," he concluded, applauding the team's dedication.

The Edo Queens will depart Lagos on Thursday for Casablanca, Morocco.
