Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has encouraged his Galatasaray teammates to stay focused in the battle for the Turkish Super Lig crown after their 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa on Sunday afternoon.
Despite finding the net twice, Osimhen's goals were not enough to secure a victory at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.
The draw allowed Fenerbahce to narrow the points gap to just four, intensifying the competition for the league title.
After the match, Osimhen voiced his frustration over the result but commended his teammates for their determination.
"It's disappointing, to be honest. We played against a strong opponent and gave our best. I’m proud of my teammates for their effort. Sometimes, football can be unpredictable," he told Galatasaray’s official website.
With eleven games remaining, the Nigerian forward emphasized the need for full concentration, warning against complacency in such a demanding league.
"This league is very competitive. You must fight from start to finish, or you risk being punished. We are still in the title race and have the quality to win."
Osimhen reassured fans of his dedication, stressing that unity and teamwork would be key in achieving success.
"I have a deep love for this team and my teammates. I will do everything I can to help us succeed.
"Whether starting or coming off the bench, everyone must give their all. We must fight together for our goal.
"We are united—players, coach, and fans. Even when I don’t score, I contribute defensively. The important thing is to support the team in every way.
"Our ultimate goal is to win. We will approach every match with the mindset of securing three points, and we believe we are the strongest contenders for the championship."
Galatasaray will now shift their focus to their upcoming match as they aim to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
