Bayelsa United FC secured their first win in six NPFL games, defeating Plateau United 1-0. Yahaya Ibrahim scored the decisive goal in the 4th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Chinedu Sunday.


The match was halted for 50 minutes due to rain in the second half. Despite Plateau United's efforts, Bayelsa United's defense held firm.


Bayelsa United's Technical Adviser, Ladan Bosso, stated that the victory would boost the team's confidence.


"This win relaunches our hopes in the league," he said.


Plateau United's Head Coach, Mbwas Mangut, said, "The early goal destabilized our game plan."
