Wrexham has unveiled a Super Bowl advertisement featuring Hollywood star Channing Tatum to promote their stadium sponsor, STōK Cold Brew. The ad includes key Wrexham players such as Ollie Palmer, Paul Mullin, Jacob Mendy, and Jack Marriott, with Tatum humorously instructing the team on how to improve their goal celebrations by offering choreography suggestions. This collaboration adds another Hollywood touch to Wrexham’s growing global appeal, fueled by its celebrity owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
McElhenney and Reynolds expressed their excitement about the project, highlighting that three stars from Deadpool & Wolverine had reunited to bring the ad to life. They humorously deflected questions about McElhenney's screen time in the commercial.
This marks Wrexham's second consecutive Super Bowl ad, following last year’s successful campaign featuring Sir Anthony Hopkins as the club mascot, Wrex the Dragon, further cementing the club's presence in major advertising events.
The new advertisement, titled Hollywood Magic, is set to be streamed on the Fox Sports and NFL apps during Super Bowl LIX on February 9. With Wrexham once again securing a spot in the prestigious Super Bowl advertising lineup, the club continues to benefit from its unique blend of football and Hollywood influence, boosting its visibility both on and off the pitch.
