Wolves have submitted a bid to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on a season-long loan, with an option to make the transfer permanent in 2025. Ramsdale, 26, has struggled for playing time at Arsenal since losing his starting position to David Raya, who initially joined from Brentford on loan and has since been signed permanently by the Gunners.
Despite limited appearances last season, Ramsdale was included in England's Euro 2024 squad, but he is eager to secure regular first-team football after joining Arsenal from Sheffield United for £24 million in 2021.
Ramsdale, who still has two years remaining on his contract with Arsenal, was an unused substitute in the Gunners' 2-0 Premier League victory against Wolves on Saturday. Wolves, currently relying on Portugal international Jose Sa as their first-choice goalkeeper since his arrival from Olympiakos in 2021, are looking to strengthen their squad with the addition of Ramsdale.
Wolves' interest in Ramsdale highlights their ambition to bolster their goalkeeping options, and the potential move could provide Ramsdale with the opportunity to regain regular playing time and reestablish himself as a top goalkeeper in the Premier League.
