Nigeria's national team captain, William Troost-Ekong, has hinted at having knowledge about Victor Osimhen's next club move in the upcoming summer transfer window. Osimhen, who has been with Napoli for four years, extended his contract last year, but it includes a transfer clause, making him an attractive target for European clubs. As the summer approaches, wealthy clubs, such as Chelsea, PSG, and Arsenal, are expected to be in the market for a top-tier striker.
Chelsea, despite having attacking options like Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, continue to seek a world-class center-forward. PSG might be looking for Osimhen as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is rumored to move to Real Madrid at the end of the season. Arsenal, too, has shown interest, especially with Gabriel Jesus facing injury concerns.
While the destination of Osimhen remains uncertain, Troost-Ekong, who spent over a month with Osimhen during the Africa Cup of Nations, indicated that the striker would leave Napoli this year. However, he remained tight-lipped about revealing the specific club Osimhen might join.
During an interview on Sky Sports Live, Troost-Ekong stated, "Where will Osimhen play next year? I can't say anything, but I know." Osimhen has consistently expressed a desire to play in the English Premier League, placing Arsenal and Chelsea as preferred options in the race for his signature. The striker's future continues to attract attention as the summer transfer window approaches.
