Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi defeated Warinje Football Club 1-0 in the 2024 edition of the Federation Cup competition at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS) in Bauchi.
Wikki Tourists FC are the defending champions of the Bauchi State Federation Cup.
Assistant Captain Manu Garba scored the only goal of the match in the 89th minute after coming off the bench in the second half.
The first half of the game ended goalless, with Warinje challenging and thwarting all attempts by Wikki Tourists.
Warinje goalkeeper Sulaiman Hussain, who was outstanding in the match, almost took the game into a penalty shootout, but for the last-minute strike by Garba.
Rilwanu Maidawa, a Board Member of the Bauchi Football Association (BFA), presented the trophy to Wikki Tourists FC Captain Idris Mohammed Guda and Assistant Captain Manu Garba on behalf of the FA Chairman, Pascal Patrick.
Wikki Tourists FC Chairman Auwal Gotel and the board members also witnessed the final.
Wikki Tourists FC and Warinje FC will now represent Bauchi State at the 2024 Federation Cup Competition.
