West Ham faces a challenge in retaining Mohammed Kudus, as Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ittihad has expressed interest in signing the forward this summer, according to a source from ESPN. Kudus had a successful debut season at the London Stadium, scoring 14 goals following his transfer from Ajax a year ago.
The club, now under Julen Lopetegui's management, is eager to retain the 23-year-old Ghanaian international amidst competition from Al Ittihad, several Premier League clubs, and others across Europe.
Al Ittihad, boasting players like Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté, is one of the prominent suitors for Kudus. Meanwhile, there is also interest from Saudi Arabia in West Ham's Brazilian midfielder, Lucas Paquetá.
Al Nassr, in particular, seeks to bolster their midfield creativity and has considered Paquetá, though potential complications arise from ongoing Football Association charges against the 26-year-old related to alleged spot-fixing, which Paquetá denies.
In addition to Kudus and Paquetá, other Premier League talents are drawing interest from Saudi Pro League clubs. Newcastle United's Callum Wilson, who scored 10 goals last season and has a year left on his contract, is among those targeted.
While Newcastle manager Eddie Howe aims to retain the 32-year-old striker, the club may entertain offers if they meet their valuation. Atletico Madrid had previously shown interest in Wilson during the January transfer window, and his future remains subject to ongoing negotiations and potential bids from Saudi clubs seeking reinforcement.
