West Brom defender Ajayi remains resilient despite Premier League disappointment

Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi, despite the disappointment of West Brom's failure to secure promotion to the Premier League, has shifted his focus to the national team's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone and expressed confidence in their qualification chances, while reflecting on his club's promotion chase. 

Speaking with Brila FM Lagos, Ajayi mentioned his return to the Super Eagles camp after recovering from injuries and emphasized the team's determination to bounce back and secure promotion next season. 

West Brom finished 9th in the Championship, missing out on the Promotion playoffs. 

Regarding the upcoming match against Sierra Leone, Ajayi emphasized the team's internal focus, the importance of the right mindset, and expressed gratitude for the support of the fans. 

Ajayi has been an integral part of the Super Eagles' AFCON qualifying campaign, featuring in three out of four matches played so far.
