At the Santiago Bernabeu, Frank Lampard's team got off to a strong start, but they paid for some terrible defense and horrible finishing.

Ben Chilwell's straight red card for pushing down Rodrygo as the Brazilian was heading toward goal put an end to Chelsea's chances of salvaging the match.

Therefore, when the two teams meet again in the second leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, Frank Lampard's team has their work cut out for them.
