The coach of TP Mazembe, Lamia Boumedhi, has revealed that they were able to edge out Edo Queens from the competition thanks to a dramatic comeback win.
The DR Congo side came from a goal down to beat the Nigerian champions 3-1 in the semi-final of the 2024 CAF Women's Champions League.

The coach said their secret was mental strength and focus. "I am very happy and satisfied with this final result.
"I take this opportunity to congratulate my players, who played a great match. They poured their hearts out and played with grit."
"Our secret for this match was mental strength. Before the match, I told my players to stay focused until the referee's final whistle, even if we conceded a goal.
"We knew we were facing a good team, and we would have to stay focused until the end of the match," she said.
TP Mazembe will face the host club AS FAR in the final, while Edo Queens will confront Masar FC in the third-place playoff.
