2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 3: We need away draw to boost our team's confidence, says Ikorodu City FC's coach

After a momentous 0-0 draw away at Ilorin Township Stadium against Kwara United FC, the coach of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) debutant Ikorodu City FC, Bright Ozebagbe, commended the team for their display of character.


Ikorodu City picked up their first-ever NPFL point in a fiercely contested goalless draw against Kwara United at the Kwara State Stadium Complex on match day 3 of the 2024/2025 season.


Ozebagbe praised his players for their performance, stating that the result will spur the team in their upcoming matches.


"This is key for us and helps build our confidence going into our next game at home. The boys showed great character, and it paid off for us in the end.


"We need concentration, to win the second balls, and to avoid making sloppy errors. These are areas we worked on after our first game in Katsina.


"The mentality is different when we play at home. We are going to play our brand of football, and the fans will enjoy the game."


The Oga Boys will take on defending champions Rangers International in an outstanding game on Wednesday in Lagos, and then host Nasarawa United over the weekend.
