As the second round of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season gets underway this weekend across all centers, Abia Warriors will welcome Bayelsa United to the Umuahia Township Stadium for another epic showdown.
The Warriors, who had a strong finish to the first round, will look to consolidate by continuing their upward trajectory against a side they beat on their home turf in the reverse fixture.
Despite Umu Chineke securing all three points the last time out, Bayelsa United will look to get a positive result in Umuahia.
However, with developments in the camp of the Warriors, they are battle-ready, as confirmed by Warriors center-back Collins Nwoburuoke.
"The Warriors are very prepared because we went there to get three points, and I know they will come here to get their own pound of flesh, but it's not going to be an easy one because we are all ready for the Bayelsa United game."
The Abia Warriors' defensive marshal, who started all 19 games for Umu Chineke in the first round of the season, also promised to give his utmost for the Warriors as expectations are high.
"I think in this second round, I will give them more because I'm not under pressure, and now I have to give my best. Even when I gave 50 percent in the first round, I have to top that by another 50 percent because I know what they are expecting from Collins Nwoburuoke. So, it's going to be an all-out second round for me," he stated.
