Chairman of Warri Wolves FC, Neville Ambakaderemo, has urged the team's players and management to stay dedicated to achieving positive results as a sign of reciprocating the enormous support from the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led administration of Delta State.
Neville, who made the call in an interview ahead of the team's preparations for the second round of the President Federation Cup, said that the team was highly motivated following a recent payment of salaries and allowances by the Delta State Government.
He also noted that with commitment and support from the governor, there is great hope that Warri Wolves will soon return to playing in the apex league in the country with a brighter future.
Neville then commended the inspiring partnership between the Delta State Government and its state-owned team via the sports commission, noting that in the world of sports, success is often a reflection of strong leadership coupled with unwavering all-round support as being offered to the team by the Delta State Government.
"Football is dynamic even globally; that is why you hear phrases like the 'gods' of soccer being for or against you at times. In other words, we should not outrightly judge the team by where it is now in the NNL; we are very sure with continued support from the Delta State Government under the leadership of Governor Oborevwori, the future is brighter."
"It was very commendable on the side of the governor who recently supported the team to see that salaries were cleared and bonuses paid."
"That was very motivating, and as I speak, the camp is up and running, and the players are ready and highly motivated to put in their all to reciprocate the kind gesture from Governor Sheriff Oborevwori."
It would be recalled that players and backroom staff of Warri Wolves FC recently had all salaries and bonuses cleared.
The team recamped on Sunday, May 12th, after a one-week break and will commence training at the Warri Training Centre ahead of the round of 32 encounter against Kwara United.
