Victor Osimhen Advances Napoli’s Chance at The Champions League

With a convincing victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, Victor Osimhen scored twice as Napoli advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time.

The Nigeria striker's thunderous header in first-half stoppage time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona calmed any residual concerns with Luciano Spalletti's team leading by two goals from the first leg.

Eight minutes after the half, Osimhen increased the Italians' advantage with a close-range strike from Giovanni di Lorenzo's cross, and Piotr Zielinski made it 3-0 by converting his own penalty after being hauled down in the box.

“We want to enjoy the moment and look ahead. It's a great win, we re-wrote the history of this club” Osimhen said.
“We keep dreaming, we don't have limits. We follow our coach and look ahead.”

Napoli enters the round of eight with a solid chance to contend for the soccer world championship thanks to its dominating 18-point advantage at the top of Serie A.
