Victor Ikpeba 5-A-Side tournament kicks off Dec. 19 to 21

Twenty-four teams will compete in the Victor Ikpeba 5-A-Side tournament, scheduled for December 19-21 at the De Cloud Entertainment Center, Osubi, Delta State.


The tournament organizer, Victor Ikpeba, the 1997 African Footballer of the Year, announced that this year’s event will feature U-20 players.

The top four teams will receive branded jerseys and cash prizes.


The knockout-format tournament will hold screening and draws at 8 a.m. on December 19 at the event venue.


Ikpeba has dedicated this year's tournament to the late veteran sports journalist Dapo Sotunumi, who inspired him to organize the event.


Previous editions of the tournament have featured U-15 and U-17 categories, highlighting the event's commitment to developing youth football and giving back to society.
