Victor Boniface emerges as transfer target for RB Leipzig

In his first season in Belgium, the 22-year-old has made an impressive impact with 25 goal involvements in 45 all-competition appearances, comprising of 15 goals and 10 assists. 

His exceptional performance in this season's Europa League has also caught the eyes of RB Leipzig scouts, as his goals led RUSG to the quarterfinals of the competition before they were eliminated by Bayer Leverkusen.

According to reports, RB Leipzig has been monitoring Boniface closely, although he is not seen as a replacement for Christopher Nkunku, who is set to join Chelsea after the current season ends. 

The German club is considering Boniface as an option to reinforce their attacking prowess in case Yussuf Poulsen or André Silva leave.

Apart from RB Leipzig, other teams in France, Germany, and Spain are also keeping tabs on Boniface ahead of the summer transfer window. 

The Nigerian striker was signed by Union SG from Bodø/Glimt for a transfer fee of two million euros in August 2022, but his value has increased considerably, and it is expected to take at least ten million euros to acquire him from the Jupiler Pro League team.
