Super Eagles striker Victor Okoh Boniface expresses his satisfaction with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, describing it as the perfect club for his development. Following an outstanding season with Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium, Boniface made the move to Leverkusen, where he has scored ten goals and provided four assists in just fourteen games under the guidance of coach Xabi Alonso.
Reflecting on his performances against German teams in the Europa League, the 22-year-old credits those displays as a key factor in attracting Leverkusen's interest. Boniface acknowledges having received offers from various top European clubs but opted for Leverkusen due to its focus on developing young players and its distinctive style of play.
Choosing a gradual approach to his football journey, Boniface explains that he didn't want to make a leap from the Belgian league to the Premier League, considering the high expectations and pressure at the top stage. He emphasizes that Leverkusen, with its impressive football philosophy, stands out as one of the biggest clubs in Germany.
Having spoken to the director and understanding the club's commitment to developing young talents, Boniface sees Leverkusen as the perfect fit for his growth. With ten goals in fourteen games, he believes Leverkusen is the best team for him to continue evolving as a young player. Under Boniface's contribution in attack, Leverkusen remains unbeaten on all fronts, showcasing strength both defensively and offensively, even becoming the first club to score fifty goals in Europe this season.
