Spanish Primera División Femenino club Valencia CF Femenino has officially announced the signing of 21-year-old Nigerian forward Ezekiel Motunrayo through a statement on their website.
Motunrayo becomes the second Nigerian attacker to join Valencia during the January transfer window, following the addition of Super Eagles star Umar Sadiq, who arrived on loan from Real Sociedad.
The young striker has signed a contract that will see her remain with the club until June 30, 2026, marking a significant step in her professional career.
Motunrayo's football journey has been impressive, beginning in her home country of Nigeria. She honed her skills in the Nigerian Women's Premier League with Naija Ratels and Rivers Angels, earning recognition for her performances.
On the international stage, Motunrayo represented Nigeria at the U20 level during the 2024 African Games, showcasing her potential on a broader platform.
As a versatile attacker capable of playing both on the right wing and as a center-forward, she brings speed, agility, and sharp finishing to Valencia's attack. Fans eagerly anticipate her potential debut against Deportivo Abanca on Saturday.
With Valencia currently at the bottom of the Liga F standings, Motunrayo's arrival is seen as a crucial reinforcement. The club hopes her skills and determination will play a pivotal role in improving their position and avoiding relegation.
