Union SG to spend big on Nigerian striker, replacing Bayer Leverkusen's Boniface
Posted : 25 July 2023
After the departure of Victor Boniface to Bayer Leverkusen for a record €20 million transfer fee, Union Saint Gilloise is keen to bolster their squad and has set their sights on Nigerian talent Akor Adams.
Having impressed with his performances at Lillestrøm SK, Adams has scored an impressive 15 goals and provided two assists in just 15 games.
Union SG views him as the ideal replacement for Boniface and is actively working to strike a deal soon.
At 23 years old and standing tall at 1.90 meters, Adams remains under contract with Lilleström until December 2024, and his estimated market value of €4 million could make him the most expensive signing in Union SG's history if they pursue him.
