Two goals, assist: Did Southampton misjudge Onuachu's fit?

Paul Onuachu has quickly regained his scoring touch since his summer move to Turkish club, Trabzonspor.
After a stellar run in the Belgian Pro League, where he notched 16 goals, Onuachu made the switch to Southampton. However, his time in England was less fruitful, as he couldn't find the net in 11 outings and soon found himself sidelined.
Many debate whether Onuachu's skill set was mismatched with Southampton's tactics or if manager Ruben Selles made a misjudgment.
Selles suggested the transition to Premier League play might have been too abrupt for Onuachu. “Players from leagues like Belgium or France often need time to adjust to the Premier League, especially in critical roles like the striker's position,” he noted.
The interim manager at that period, Selles confessed he wouldn't have onboarded Onuachu had the decision been solely his.
Now with Trabzonspor, Onuachu is showcasing his prowess, assisting and scoring in recent fixtures. Perhaps his current team, which recognizes and leverages his strengths, is a better fit for the Nigerian forward.
