Here is how the transfer market has been faring:
*Barcelona has officially announced the signing of 32-year-old defender Inigo Martinez. The Basque player, who previously played for Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao, has joined Barcelona on a two-year contract. The deal was agreed upon several months ago, and Martinez has also represented Spain with 20 international appearances. His contract includes a release clause of €400 million.
*Mason Mount has completed his transfer to Manchester United. The English midfielder underwent medical check-ups in Manchester and bid farewell to Chelsea fans through an emotional Instagram post. The deal, valued at around £65 million with future bonuses, has secured Mount's move to Manchester United until 2028, with an option for an additional season.
*Leeds United has appointed Daniel Parke as their new manager. The German manager has been brought in to lead the team's campaign in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League last season. Leeds hopes Parke can guide them back to the top flight.
*Defender Kim Min-jae has undergone medical tests ahead of his transfer to Bayern Munich. The German club is activating his release clause to acquire him from Napoli for approximately €45 million. The South Korean player is expected to sign a five-year contract with Bayern Munich.
*Arsenal has completed the signing of Declan Rice. The midfielder, who attracted interest from Manchester City as well, has been acquired from West Ham in a deal worth £105 million. This makes Rice the most expensive English player in history and marks the most expensive transfer in Arsenal's history.
*There are strong indications that Arda Güler, a promising young talent from Fenerbahce, will join Real Madrid. While other clubs such as Barcelona, AC Milan, and Liverpool have shown interest in the Turkish midfielder, he appears to have chosen Real Madrid. The Blancos are expected to purchase him and then loan him out for the upcoming season.
*Inter Miami, after signing Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, is reportedly planning to make an offer to Andres Iniesta. The club is in talks with Jordi Alba as well, aiming to reunite him with his former Barcelona teammates in the Major League Soccer team.
*There could be a surprise appointment for the Brazil national team, as Fluminense's coach Fernando Diniz is expected to be announced soon as the next Seleção coach. He will guide the Brazilian national team until the summer of 2024 when Carlo Ancelotti is set to take over permanently.
*According to reports, Tino Livramento is set to leave Southampton in the summer, with Chelsea and Newcastle monitoring the young defender. Chelsea holds a £40 million buyback clause for their former academy player, but it seems Livramento may prefer a move to Newcastle.
*Thiago Mendes will leave Lyon this summer to join Al Rayyan in Qatar. The Brazilian midfielder, who spent the past four seasons at Lyon, will join the Qatari club on a free transfer.
*Fabrizio Romano reports that Davide Frattesi will join Inter. The Italian midfielder, who currently plays for Sassuolo, will join Inter in a deal worth €25 million.
*After previously being linked with Andre Onana, Manchester United has reportedly shifted its focus to Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, according to the Daily Mail. United has abandoned the pursuit of Onana and is now targeting Sanchez as a potential signing.
