Transfer Talks of August 2nd: Manchester City sign €90m defender Joško Gvardiol from Leipzig

Manchester City has successfully negotiated the acquisition of defender Joško Gvardiol from Leipzig for a record-breaking fee of €90 million. The 21-year-old Croatian will sign a long-term contract with the English and European champions. As part of the agreement, there will also be a friendly match between Leipzig and Manchester City, earning the Germans an additional €2 million.
Atletico Madrid's Marcos Llorente is nearing a move to Saudi Arabia, with Al Ahly set to pay €23 million for the Spanish midfielder. Llorente will earn a staggering €20 million per season and join Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, and Allan Saint-Maximin in the Gulf.
